A 70-year-old woman has died following a crash between a station wagon and a truck, near Gladstone.
Initial investigations indicate just after 5.30pm yesterday at Wooderson, a station wagon, travelling west along the Dawson Highway, veered onto the opposite side of the road and hit a truck, travelling east.
The driver of the wagon, a Wooderson woman, died from her injuries at the scene.
The driver of the Prime Mover, towing b-double fuel tankers, was the sole occupant of the truck and was not injured.
An uninjured dog that was located inside the vehicle was taken to a nearby veterinary clinic.
The crash closed the highway in both directions for some time.
Investigations are continuing.
Anyone with information about the crash is urged to contact police.
