Two shootings in Berserker are believed to be linked.
Emergency services were called around 12.30pm Wednesday, to reports gunshots had been heard from inside a house.
Initial investigations indicate a 40-year-old man sustained a gunshot wound to his leg following an incident at a Peter Street address.
The man was transported to Rockhampton Base Hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
A crime scene was declared, and investigations are ongoing.
It comes less than two weeks after another man in his 40s was shot in the yard of home on Peter Street.
Acting Senior Sergeant Kevin Mawdsley says the people involved in both shootings are known to each other.
“It appears to us, that there has been some sort of fallout or feud between this group of people who are all known to each other,” Acting Senior Sergeant Mawdsley said.
“We do believe that they are linked, however we are appealing for information from anyone in the community who has knowledge of either of those two shooting incidents.”
Anyone with information or CCTV or dashcam footage that could assist investigations is urged to come forward.
