Rockhampton police have released an image of a man who may know something about a shooting at Kawana.
Community members are urged to not approach this man, as it is believed that he could be armed.
Initial investigations indicate a 31-year-old man was shot in the leg following a verbal argument with another man known to him at an Alexandra Street property around 8.30pm Tuesday.
Police say the shooter then fled the scene.
The 31-year-old man was transported to Rockhampton Hospital in a stable condition with non-life-threatening injuries.
The man pictured is described as having an Aboriginal appearance, around 185cm tall, proportionate build, short light brown curly hair, a short ginger beard and moustache and tattoos on his lower left arm, both hands and lower left leg.
Members of the public are asked to NOT approach the man and to immediately contact Triple Zero (000) if sighted.
Anyone with information regarding the man’s current whereabouts is urged to contact police.
Investigations are continuing.
