It’s set to be another humid day across Central Queensland, with some extreme temperatures Capricornia area.
39 degrees is the forecast top for Rockhampton today, Gladstone can expect a top of 38 degrees, 37 in Yeppoon and 41 in Biloela.
Meteorologist Patch Clapp says the humidity will make it feel even warmer.
“Broadly were seeing some hotter, drier air masses trying to push towards the coast, that hot, dry air and hot, moist air is seeing the run of storms and heat were seeing,” Mr Clapp said.
“We’re seeing the warm temperatures push all the way to the coast, which is combined with some high humidity, it’s across a number of days and both maximum and minimum temperatures are above average – and the humidity is making the feels like conditions seem even warmer.”
