A man has been shot and killed by police at a rest stop near Gladstone.
The incident occurred at Colosseum, about 20 kilometres south of Miriam Vale, around 10.50am today.
A police spokesperson has now confirmed the man has died.

“Welfare matters are being addressed for the officers involved in the incident.”
“Police investigations are ongoing.”
“Ethical Standards Command will investigate the incident with oversight by the Crime and Corruption Commission.”
The Bruce Highway remained closed in both directions as of 4pm.
