A 23-year-old Gladstone man has been arrested in Newcastle in relation to an alleged stabbing at Barney Point.
It follows an alleged altercation at Barney Point on August 3, which left a 30-year-old Barney Point man in a critical condition with stab wounds.
New South Wales police located the 23-year-old Gladstone man yesterday morning and he is due to front Newcastle court today.

Police are expected to request his extradition to Queensland.
A 30-year-old South Gladstone man has also previously been charged over the incident.
Detectives are thanking Victorian and New South Wales Police for their assistance in locating the man.
Investigations are ongoing.
